RAS Supply Chain Integrity Enhances Argos Distribution with Advanced PA Technology

RAS Supply Chain Integrity (SCI) has expanded its Picker Accuracy (PA) technology to six Argos distribution centres, aligning them with the twenty Sainsbury’s centres already using the system. This ensures all third-party logistics (3PL) centres meet the same accuracy performance targets.

The implementation involved visiting the depots to understand processes, assessing volume and staffing needs, and gathering data for the IT department to create a live feed and reporting dashboard. Over four weeks, SCI trained staff on the new processes, revisited depots for further training, and documented methodologies for different depot types. The live feed and reporting tools were then activated.

Benefits of the PA technology include real-time error identification, trend analysis, performance management, and improved store/customer availability. The system allows for blind audits, with results reviewed weekly with stakeholders and periodically with finance and loss prevention teams, enabling quicker identification and action on trends.
