This year marks a significant milestone for RAS Supply Chain Integrity (RAS SCI) as we celebrate 25 years of successful collaboration with the B&Q logistics network.

Since July 2000, RAS SCI has been entrusted with the responsibility of performing distribution audits within the B&Q networks. Our commitment to accuracy and efficiency has not only ensured the correct stock reaches B&Q store estates with Pick Accuracy but has also paved the way for groundbreaking advancements at Goods In with Good Faith Receiving (GFR) programs for all vendors to B&Q.

A shout to Mike Golden, who alongside the B&Q Contract Manager, developed a comprehensive GFR audit process that remains the backbone of GFR principles in the industry-recognised GFR program of today. By auditing stock throughout all delivery routes, we have significantly reduced congestion at store backdoors, sped up stock-to-shelf processes, and streamlined paperwork — all contributing to enhanced sales and operational efficiency whilst reducing paperwork and store claims for missing stock.

While various customers have their unique GFR requirements underpinned by the same principles, the B&Q model continues to evolve. Here's to 25 years of partnership and many more years of shared success ahead! 🥂
